Haslett studio

Inside the brick room on Haslett Road

Brick on one wall, mirrors on the other, tall windows at the end. This is where most weeks of the 5th Anniversary Season happen, from Preballet at 4:45 on Monday to Competitive Choreography on Friday evening.

The Nutcracker, retold

Every fall the companies rehearse a Christian adaptation of The Nutcracker: Junior Company on Tuesdays in Haslett and Mondays in Okemos, Senior Company on Thursdays and Fridays. The studio is raising support to commission a new work and bring it to the Wharton Center in East Lansing.

“I absolutely love the staff. Ms. Natalie is a beautiful dancer and makes the simplest things look so wonderful. She is a great teacher, kind and very encouraging. If you're looking for a adult class, you should check them out.”

Tuition that travels

“Our mission is simple: worship Jesus and fund missions globally.” Summer Thomas-Reed opened the studio as a non-profit so the dancing would carry further than the room.

Bram Nguyen, and Scott and Ruth Thompson

Studio profit goes first to three Lansing-area missionaries. Every month of ballet, tap or acro you pay for is part of how they stay in the field.

The 3,000 unreached people groups

The studio keeps a special focus on the 3,000 unreached people groups of the world: the peoples who have yet to hear the Gospel in their own language and place.

Reach a Village · Open Doors USA · Joshua Project

Three ministries the studio supports alongside its own missionaries, from village outreach to the persecuted church to mapping the unreached.

A dancer in every seat

Sponsorships fund scholarships for economically disadvantaged dancers and community outreach performances, so cost is never the reason a child misses class.

Before the first class

The things families usually ask on the phone. Anything else, call (517) 759-5554.

Yes. New students can take a free trial class. Call (517) 759-5554 or send a message and we will find a class at the Haslett, Okemos or Grand Ledge studio that fits their age and experience.

Classes start with Mini and Preballet classes for the youngest dancers and Jazz/Tap Combo for ages 4 to 6, and run up through Ballet 5 and Pointe for advanced students. Adults are welcome too, including Ruach Flow and Ballet/Pilates Fusion.

Ballet, pointe, lyrical, modern, jazz, tap, acro and tumbling, hip hop and Musical Theatre, plus competitive technique and choreography and strength and conditioning. The Junior Company and Senior Company rehearse our Christian adaptation of The Nutcracker.

Tuition is billed monthly. Beginner classes are $49.50 a month and Intermediate classes $59.50 during normal registration; the full rate sheet, including Pointe and Ballet 4, is on the pricing page. Returning students pay no registration fee, and families save 5 to 15 percent when they take three or more classes.
